Bryan Norman, PhD

Dr. Bryan H. Norman earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Emory University and completed postdoctoral studies as an NIH Fellow at Penn State University.

His medicinal chemistry career would go on to span pharmaceutical R&D, natural product drug discovery, and consulting, beginning with Monsanto/Searle before joining Eli Lilly and Company in 1993, where he led cross-functional teams in oncology, endocrinology, and pain management, and developed expertise in preclinical safety, with a focus on mitigating drug-induced liver injury (DILI).

After retiring from Lilly in 2017, he moved to teaching and consulting, joining Enveda Biosciences as Senior Vice President of Lead Generation Chemistry in 2020. There, he was instrumental in building a natural product-based discovery platform. Bryan returned to full-time consulting in 2024, focusing on drug discovery value creation and due diligence.

He is a named inventor on more than 30 U.S. patents, has authored over 50 publications, and is a frequent invited speaker, grant reviewer, and contributor to scientific advisory boards.
