Kevin Fales, PhD

Chemist

Dr. Kevin R. Fales is an exceptional pharmaceutical researcher with over three decades of experience. He began his career in 1990 as a process chemist at Ciba-Geigy before earning a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Wayne State University. He joined Eli Lilly & Co. in 1998, where he contributed to both post-launch process development and drug discovery, leading teams that identified clinical candidates in oncology and nuclear hormone receptors.

After retiring from Lilly in 2017, Kevin taught chemistry at Ivy Tech and Franklin College. In 2020, he joined Recursion Pharmaceuticals, playing a key role in advancing their oncology portfolio and identifying a clinical candidate for ovarian cancer. His contributions earned him promotion to Fellow of Medicinal Chemistry.

Kevin is widely published and patented, known for his leadership, mentoring, and ability to build effective cross-functional teams.
