Sohang is a successful biotech entrepreneur with 2 exits from his previous startups. He brings over 20 years of corporate leadership experience and 25 years of  drug designing and drug  development expertise all the way to market. Before starting Praesidia, Sohang had co-founded Inbiopro in 2007, a biosimilar development company that was acquired by a publicly listed company in 2012. He then co-founded Zumutor Biologics, a new drug development platform company that developed a proprietary Afucosylating platform to express modified monoclonal antibodies for improved ADCC (anti-cancer activity) and a proprietary yeast display library. Sohang successfully exited Zumutor in 2018. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Sohang led the Process Development and Process Engineering groups in Millipore in India for 6 years. He joined Millipore right after his research at Cornell University. Sohang’s Bachelor of Science is in Microbiology, Chemistry and Botany and his Masters is in Molecular Biology from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR, India). Sohang continues to be involved in and an Advisor to several early stage Biotech companies.
